Most people kick off a new blog with a little about themselves, or the intended purpose of the blog. I will dare to be different and will skip all that for now and start with sharing a photo. This was shot (the photo not the geese!) in May 2007 on our pond. A pair of geese found the little fishing hole a most conducive spot for a nest, successfully hatched four goslings.

Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
